ABOUT
Dmitry Bashkirov: “At this age he feels the music and the sound so deep, beautiful, natural – as if he invents the pieces while playing.”
Janina Fialkowska: “He is a major talent and I absolutely loved his playing … masterful, beautifully paced, a wonderful sound, very beautiful phrasing and very dramatic. I loved it.”
Katia Skanavi: “You are a poet and your command of tonal timbres is exceptional. Hero and Leander were alive in the hall, you evoked magical worlds and you avoided the terrible clichés which Liszt performances often suffer from. Your sense of balance was excellent as well. Bravo!”
Carol Leone: “Bravo – played with confidence and brilliance! Many good wishes to you in your performing future!”
Svetlana Slivinskaya (journalist and music reviewer, St. Petersburg): “Ivaylo’s appearance in the music world might be called a divine providence, like Glen Gould’s appearance in the past. His performance of Bach’s piano concerto in D-minor was saturated with unheard beauty and deep philosophy, inspiring delight and meditation, unveiling new depths in time and space with the great composer’s music.”
Vladimir Ovchinnikov: “A great musician of the future.”
